The sparkle of social worker Leonard’s dreams of advocacy for the disenfranchised have been tarnished by years in the salt mines of a government bureaucracy. Pile on the stress of his newish marriage and the sleep- less nights of being a new father, and Leonard is having difficulty mustering much enthusiasm for anything. The only thing he derives any real pleasure from these days is telling people what he really thinks of them – some- thing that’s a lot easier to do than actually helping the mentally unstable.
